The tradition of ‘Kathamo Puja’ dates back many centuries where the wooden frame on which the clay idol is built is worshipped at ‘Bonedi Barir Pujo’. A similar tradition has been established in Barwari Pujas named ‘Khunti Puja’ where the laying of the foundation of the Durga Puja pandal is worshipped. This year we observed Khunti Pujo on the Panchami day of Durga Puja due to Covid restrictions.
